Felice Duffy is a nationally recognized leader in Title IX law.  She has represented hundreds of students, faculty, staff and coaches from all regions of the country, zealously protecting their due process rights and holding schools accountable for complying with this complex and ever-evolving area of law.

Prior to her entering private practice, she spent a decade as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for the District of Connecticut in its Criminal Division investigating and prosecuting complex crimes including racketeering, government fraud, and counterfeiting.

Before that, Felice worked as a litigation Associate in “Big Law” including at Sullivan and Cromwell in New York City.  From there, she clerked for two federal judges before accepting her AUSA position with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Felice’s intense dedication to Title IX law traces back to undergraduate school when she successfully filed a complaint against the University of Connecticut (UCONN) under the then-new Title IX statutes to compel the school to fund a women’s soccer team.

She continued playing soccer at UCONN while earning her master’s and Ph.D. in sports psychology and then went on to play club soccer and spent a decade as head coach of the Yale women’s soccer team.

Felice’s 20 years as an athlete and coach convinced her that gender inequity and harassment could best be confronted using the law that she used as an undergraduate.  So, she went to law school where she graduated first in her class and began her next professional chapter.

Felice Duffy opened her own Title IX firm after leaving the U.S. Attorney’s office in 2015 and is now proud to be Of-Counsel to Nesenoff & Miltenberg, LLP.
