Amy J. Zamir has been practicing law for approximately 25 years and specializes in representing corporate and individual clients in a wide range of complex commercial issues. Amy spent over ten years running her own firm where she worked exclusively for other attorneys seeking her expertise in critical thinking, legal analysis and legal research and writing.  In this capacity, Amy was exposed to a variety of legal issues and honed her skills developing individual case strategies.  Based partly upon her experiences from living abroad, Amy has learned to appreciate the different views and approaches all people have when engaging in business and with others.  Amy approaches each of her cases with a holistic view and after getting to know her clients, provides overall guidance and advice to help them best achieve their goals.  Amy diligently advocates for her clients at all stages of litigation and has also negotiated settlement agreements protecting the best interest of her clients.  Amy also appears on a regular basis before the New York Appellate Division, First and Second Departments advocating both in written submissions and during oral arguments for her clients often obtaining successful published results where her cases have been relied upon by other attorneys. 

Amy has worked with victims of mortgage fraud as a result of the sub-prime mortgage loan crisis and has been instrumental in assisting homeowners in retaining their homes from unscrupulous lenders through both litigation practice and settlements.  Amy also has experience in defending homeowners in actions involving title fraud. Amy has been successful in obtaining relief for her clients in the Appellate Courts in New York in many matters, including those related to proper jurisdiction.  A sample of cases in which Amy received favorable decisions in the Appellate Courts include HSBC Bank USA Nat’l Assoc. v. Amy regular applies her honed litigation skills in representing clients in various subject matters in complex litigation matters and recently completed an arbitration involving complex intellectual property issues, shareholder valuation employment contract disputes and interpretation of complex shareholder and operating agreement disputes
