Secretary Betsy DeVos rolled back President Obama’s aggressive guidelines into investigating allegations of sexual assault on campus. She replaced those guidelines with new interim instructions that allow universities to decide which standard of evidence to use when handling complaints. … “I think a lot of universities are going to continue with the current guidance in place,” said Andrew Miltenberg, a lawyer with Nesenoff & Miltenberg. “This is not an issue you can easily legislate away because there is a political component to it and an emotional component to it.”
